Little Sprouts

Little Sprouts is a weekly botanically-themed program for preschoolers. Each week we read stories, sing songs, and do fun crafts & activities. Whether we are learning about how bees are more helpful than harmful, or exploring the garden with handmade binoculars, the children leave the garden with a real appreciation for the world around them and a new desire to protect it.

Our participants range in age from newborn all the way up to five-year-olds who haven’t started kindergarten yet. Not only does our program serve the little ones in attendance, but also the adults who bring them. Each week we try to offer a program to our families that will leave them with the inspiration to take what they have learned and apply it in their homes.

Garden Buds

Garden Buds is a weekly, environmental education program during Fayetteville school district’s summer vacation for elementary-aged students. It takes place each Wednesday during its season at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks at the Education Cottage from 9:30 – 10:30 AM, during the first Little Sprouts program.

This program introduces children to nature and instills a sense of wonder and curiosity about their environment. The lessons taught during Garden Buds encourage a sense of stewardship for the natural world and a love of the outdoors.
