A Butterfly’s Perspective: Behavior & Ecology of the World’s Most Colorful Pollinators

In this class, Dr. Erica Westerman, a professor at the University of Arkansas who studies butterfly behavior and genetics, will discuss the behavior, cognitive ability and diversity of butterflies, one of the most specious groups of animals on the planet. Participants will engage in interactive virtual activities, learn how they can participate in ongoing butterfly behavior research and receive tips on ways to improve butterfly diversity and abundance in home gardens. Participants will also get a live, virtual tour of the tropical butterfly facility at the University of Arkansas.
