Little Sprouts is a weekly botanically-themed program for preschoolers. Each week we read stories, sing songs, and do fun crafts and activities. Whether we are learning about how bees are more helpful than harmful, or exploring the garden with handmade binoculars, the children leave the garden with a real appreciation for the world around them and a new desire to protect it.
We have two sessions to accommodate all of our little learners. We meet at 9:30 and 10:30 am on Wednesday mornings May through October. Participants do NOT need to register. Just show up on Wednesday morning! Watch our Facebook page for weather announcements on rainy days.
Our participants range in age from newborn all the way up to our five-year-olds who haven’t yet started Kindergarten. Not only does our program serve the little ones in attendance, but also the adults who bring them. Each week we try to offer a program to our families that will leave them with the inspiration to take what they have learned and apply it in their homes.
This program is completely free for garden members with a Family membership. For non-members, there is no admission charge for children 4 and under. Admission for children 5 and older is $4, and $7 for adults accompanying the children. You can join online at Become a Member.
Please note: This video features a Little Sprouts session during one of the colder months of the year. Typically, sessions will be held outside in the garden, weather permitting.
