Butterfly Days at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks is an enriching experience for all!
When: October 4 & 5 (if these dates don’t work for you, contact Roslyn)
Time: Two-hour sessions at 9:00 am and at 12:00 pm each day
Who: School groups in second through fourth grades
How much: $80 per class
Details: Each session will feature six learning stations. BGO volunteers will be leading child-centered activities on topics like monarchs, butterfly life-cycles, structures & functions of these insects and more. Lessons will touch on Common Core and hit some Next Generation Science Standards. Class price includes teachers and aides. Parents are welcome if the class is in need of extra chaperones and this should be worked out in advance. If parents want to visit the garden, they should pay admission in the Visitors Center and be as courteous as any other public guest might be to a visiting field trip.
