Organic Gardening: Why and How (Virtual)

Tuesday, March 8 | 6:00 – 7:30 pm

This is a virtual class. Angeline Karigan-Winter, Nutritional Health Coach at Natural Grocers, brings you the whys of organic farming. How does conventional farming negatively impact the environment and human health? How does organic farming turn that picture around? There are many reasons to love organics – they are pesticide-free, non-GMO, nutrient dense, good for the planet and good for you!

Additionally, Roslyn Imrie of the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks will bring some tips and tricks for growing an organic vegetable garden in your own yard. Are you a beginner wanting to garden organically? Interested in trying to grow vegetables at home more naturally? This class will go over some of the basics for the beginning organic vegetable gardener.

All attendees will receive a $5 coupon to Natural Grocers and a $2 coupon toward Botanical Garden admission which can be picked up either at the Natural Grocers Store or the Botanical Garden’s admissions window.

This class will take place virtually on Zoom. Registration in advance is required even for members.

Cost: FREE for members / $10 for nonmembers (Not a member? Join or renew today!)
