Emerald Triumph Viburnum

Golden Currant. This Arkansas native is a great source of early nectar. It produces berries that ripen in late summer and can be used for jams and jellies. Just make sure you get to them before the birds do! Not for tame garden beds as it spreads vigorously via rhizomes.
